The Russian MS Society is co-founder of the Bereza REHA Centre in which, on an annual basis, some 1000 patients (20% PwMS) make use of rehabilitation courses. By focusing on the adaptation to the steady process of neurological deficit and consequently prolonging the patient’s capability to work, on the prevention of deuteropathies of the neurological condition, and on the improvement of the health-related quality of life, the modern Bereza REHA Centre is an example of how patients with MS can be dealt with in a qualitative way. The Bereza Centre can count on the daily efforts of specialists qualified in rehabilitating neurological impairments. To provide services to patients, the Centre is staffed with neurologists, therapists, rehabilitation professionals, exercise therapy professionals, logopedists, nurses, massage professionals, physiotherapeutic room professionals, psychologists, social work professionals, and social workers. At this centre, everything is put in place to optimize the MS patient’s quality of life.
