The tool has been initiated by EMSP and further developed by MSIF – the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation - as “Atlas of MS”. The 2007 update and the printed version of the “Atlas”  launched  by MSIF and the WHO in September 2008, makes the European Map of MS fully accessible with comprehensive data about : • Epidemiology – prevalence, incidence and total numbers • Epidemiology – average age of onset and male/female ratio • MS organisations • Diagnosis • Information • Support and services • Drugs and treatment • Human resources • Disability entitlements, legislation and social insurance • Major issues
